Who can vote at the referendum on 24 May 2019


Every citizen of Ireland ordinarily resident in the State, who is aged 18 years or over on polling day, and whose name is entered on the register of electors is entitled to vote.

As signalled in Minister Murphy’s press release, for the forthcoming referendum, the closing date for the supplement to the register is Tuesday 7 May 2019 and the closing date for the supplement to the postal and special voters list is Sunday 28 April 2019.
